Immanuel Senior Housing consists of the adaptive reuse of a church in Long Beach into 25 one‑bedroom apartments for seniors and one manager’s unit. The design complements the neighborhood by preserving the building’s rich, historical exterior facade. The project includes building out existing space into apartments on three levels, while preserving the ground‑level sanctuary space as a community room with a kitchen and library. Amenities include a secured entry, a fitness room, laundry facilities and secure parking. Residents have access to senior services, such as adult education, health and wellness programs. The building meets Build It Green’s Platinum GreenPoint Rated New Home Multifamily certification standards.
