Jefferson Park Terrace is an affordable rental community at the site of the original Fatburger restaurant. The development includes 60 units consisting of 28 one‑bedroom, 9 two‑bedroom (including one management unit), 19 three‑bedroom, and 4 four‑bedroom units for low‑income families. The original Fatburger stand was rehabilitated to conform with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Buildings and the California Historical Building Code. Located near the new Metro Expo Line, the new building provides families with enhanced facilities such as a computer lab, multipurpose room for recreation and programming classes. The landscaped interior courtyard on the podium level includes play equipment, gardening area with gray water recycling, BBQ, and seating areas. Jefferson Park Terrace received LEED Gold certification.
